Court annuls EU-Morocco deals over Western Sahara policies

BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union’s wide tribunal has annulled the 27-country bloc’s support of agriculture and sportfishing agreements that let Morocco to exports goods from Western Sahara. The ruling could harm the EU’s narration with Morocco, though the tribunal said the effects of the 2019 agreements would beryllium maintained for a definite play of time. The lawsuit was brought by the Polisario Front, the question seeking Western Sahara’s independency from Morocco. In its findings, the tribunal determined that the Polisario Front was “recognized internationally arsenic a  representative of the radical of Western Sahara, and that the EU did not guarantee it secured the consent of the Saharawi radical earlier sealing the agreements with Morocco.
